At this meeting, we will be discussing unconscious bias (also known as implicit bias), which refers to unconscious forms of discrimination and stereotyping based on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, age, etc. Implicit associations often don't align with our declared beliefs. These biases can influence all aspects of life, including our healthcare.
Influences such as our background, experiences and environmental conditions can all play a part in shaping our choices, whether we realize it or not. This type of bias can have harmful business outcomes, which we will discuss and open the conversation for shared experiences and solutions.
