Pandemic Workplace Blues: How to Connect with Others Through Inclusive Leadership

Are your kids screaming or asking questions about homework while you are trying to conduct a virtual business meeting or do your dogs and cats want to disrupt you right at the moment you need to listen to something important your boss has to say?  Do you feel your employer doesn’t understand what you are going through and how to best support you during these challenging times?

Many organizations have lost key and diverse employees during the pandemic, which resulted in productivity and profit losses. Sometimes it can be a challenge to find highly skilled employees for positions and/or costs a significant amount of money to find and train new employees.

This presentation will help managers to learn how to become a more inclusive leader to help maintain key individuals in the workplace, so they can close any equity gaps and maintain employee engagement.

Major takeaways:
  • Identify management approaches to help improve diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Identify communication approaches for leaders to maintain staff members.
  • Develop a plan to improve employee engagement from a leader's perspective in the workplace whether it is remote or hybrid.
