Whether you need a break from the back-to-school rush, want to enjoy one more outdoors event while we still have warm days, or just want to have fun on a weekday evening outside the house, we have got you covered. Join the city of Aurora summer concert Thursday, Aug. 26 starting at 5 p.m. at the Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway.
Grab your dancing shoes and be part of the only live and in-person concert organized by the city this year. The fun event will begin with a performance by Aurora Dance Arts, a program of the Cultural Services Division, dancing to different music styles . And at 6 p.m. “Denver’s funniest, brassiest, party band,” Badda Boom Brass Band, will bring the house down with its 7-10-piece brass band and a broad repertoire spanning from New Orleans classics to new spins on pop hits.
The event is free and open to the public, and registration is not required. People are welcome to bring their own food, blankets and lawn chairs. We also welcome volunteers to assist with set up beginning at 3:30pm and take down beginning at 7:30pm.
No alcohol, glass containers, illegal substances or consumption of marijuana are allowed.
